Coronation Street was well above the 9m mark on Monday evening (February 27) with the dramatic consequences of Leanne Barlow's return to Weatherfield, overnight figures show.
Coronation Street pulled in 9.21m (39.9%) at 7.30pm and 114k (0.5%) on ITV1+1 as Simon told Leanne that Carla had been hitting him. Leanne's furious response to the false accusation was witnessed by 9.73m (40.2%) at 8.30pm and 211k (0.9%) on +1.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 8.32m (33.9%) at 8pm as Max was tempted by flirtatious Roxy. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 742k (4.0%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale interested 7.77m (35.2%) at 7pm as grieving Moira vowed to sell the farm, while
Hollyoaks managed 1.04m (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 106k (0.5%) on timeshift. Later, E4's first look appealed to 539k (2.4%) at 7pm and 114k (0.5%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5,
Neighbours grabbed 738k (9.6%) at 1.45pm and 1.08m (6.4%) at 5.30pm, while
Home and Away mustered 841k (4.3%) at 6pm and 575k (2.8%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of
Doctors - titled 'Paradise Lost' - was seen by 1.81m (23.6%) at 1.45pm.
