A former social club in Coventry has been sold, along with a collection of disused properties on the same site.
Brett Barton, Cranfield Business RecoveryCommercial property specialists Shortland Penn and Moore were instructed through Cranfield Business Recovery to sell Foleshill Liberal Club as well as the other premises.
All the properties have been bought by Christchurch Property Company and that means members of the club, which was no longer financially viable, will now receive payment.
David Penn, director of Shortland Penn and Moore, said: “Sadly, we are seeing this all too often with social and working men’s clubs but thankfully we have achieved the best possible outcome.
“Christchurch Property Company has decided to invest because it sees potential in the properties for future yield.”
Brett Barton, a licensed insolvency practitioner with Cranfield Business Recovery, said: “This is the best conclusion for all parties. We are seeing more and more clubs go this way because times have changed and social trends are different now.”
