EastEnders topped the soap ratings on Tuesday evening as Yusef stepped up his evil attempts to control Zainab, overnight figures show.
EastEnders pulled in 8.69m (37.1%) at 7.30pm as Yusef refused to reunite Zainab with her young son Kamil. BBC Three's repeat screening later secured 994k (4.8%) at 10pm.
Also on BBC One,
Holby City entertained 4.98m (21.3%) at 8pm as Malick's ordeal continued.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 6.95m (31.7%) at 7pm and 125k (0.5%) on timeshift as Cain heard unwelcome news about his recovery.
Hollyoaks managed 1.13m (5.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 119k (0.5%) on +1 as Warren's anger erupted over Mitzeee and Brendan, while the next twists to the tale brought 521k (2.4%) to E4's first look at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, the latest edition of
Top 20 Soap Moments interested 388k (2.4%) at 5.30pm.
