Part of the A444 has been closed after a car collided with a pedestrian, leaving him seriously injured.
The man suffered a broken leg and was described as “seriously injured” after the collision near Blue Ribbon Roundabout at 7am.
The road is closed from Three Spires roandabout junction with Holbrook Way to Blue Ribbon Roundabout at the junction with Foleshill Road.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a man who had been in collision with a van.
“The man, believed to be in his mid 40s, suffered fractures to his leg and was also disorientated.
"He was treated at the scene by ambulance staff and was immobilised using a leg splint, neck collar and spinal board.
“The man’s condition was stabilised and he was transferred by ambulance on blue lights to University Hospital.”
