Ratings: Rav Wilding's '71 Degrees North' win seen by 2.6m

The final of icy reality show 71 Degrees North pulled in nearly 2.6m viewers on Tuesday evening, while Channel 4's Top Boy stayed above 1m, overnight audience data has revealed.



Rav Wilding's victory in the new series of 71 Degrees North was watched by 2.57m (10.5%) on ITV1 in the 9pm slot and 196k (1.1%) on +1. However, the programme was soundly beaten by new drama Death In Paradise, which averaged 5.38m (22%) for BBC One.

The second part of Top Boy, a new drama starring Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson as drug dealers on an east London estate, enthralled 1.08m (6.5%) on Channel 4 from 10pm, down only marginally on the previous night's debut episode. The show also had 145k (1.8%) on +1.

On the multichannels, Don't Tell The Bride stayed popular on BBC Three, attracting 1.01m (4.1%) in the 9pm hour.

Meanwhile, returning Russell Tovey and Sarah Solemani comedy Him & Her picked up 644k (4.3%) from 10.30pm and added another 110,000 with the 1.30am repeat.

Back on the terrestrials, Mayday Mayday fetched 2.87m (12.5%) on ITV1 from 7.30pm. High Stakes had 2.16m (9.4%) in the 8pm hour, but was beaten by Holby City's 5.6m (24.3%) on BBC One. The Imagine strand enchanted 940k (8.5%) on BBC One from 10.45pm.

Celebrity Antiques Road Trip dealt with 1.81m (8%) on BBC Two in the 7pm hour. James May's Man Lab returned with 1.87m (8.1%) from 8pm and 131k (0.6%) on BBC HD. The Most Courageous Raid of WWII captivated 1.99m (8.1%) from 9pm. Later Live With Jools Holland stayed tuneful with 690k (3.5%) from 10pm.

The Food Hospital opened its doors with 2.1m (9.1%) on Channel 4 from 8pm and 192k (0.8%) on +1. Jamie's Great Britain served up 2.03m (8.3%) and 326k (1.9%) on timeshift.

Real Food Family Cook Off took 236k (1%) on Channel 5 from 7.30pm. Superior Interiors with Kelly Hoppen drew in 647k (2.8%) in the 8pm slot, before CSI: Miami investigated 1.47m (6%) from 9pm. Big Brother entertained 1.19m (6.9%) in the 10pm hour.

Overall, BBC One dominated primetime with 24.1% ahead of ITV1's 12.8% (+1: 0.5%). BBC Two took third with 7.4%, followed by Channel 4's 6.8% (+1: 1%) and Channel 5's 3.9%.
