Ratings roundup: 'The Body Farm' solves the case with 4.6m

BBC One's The Body Farm finished solidly on Tuesday evening, overnight data has revealed.

The six-part crime drama, starring Keith Allan, concluded with 4.64m (19.7%) on BBC One in the 9pm hour, roughly flat week-on-week. The show again proved too strong for icy reality show 71 Degrees North, which had 2.2m (9.3%) on ITV1 and 171k (1%) on +1.

Elsewhere, Mayday Mayday fetched 2.51m (11.2%) on ITV1 from 7.30pm. High Stakes had 2.06m (9%) in the 8pm hour and 107k (0.5%) on +1, but was beaten by Holby City's 5.37m (23.6%) on BBC One. The Kid's Speech enchanted 1.4m (12%) on BBC One from 10.45pm.

Britain's Biggest Book Prize and Escape to the Country dealt with 550k (2.6%) and 1.51m (6.8%) respectively on BBC Two in the 7pm hour. Coast delighted 2.03m (8.9%) from 8pm and This World captivated 1.72m (7.3%) from 9pm. Later Live With Jools Holland stayed tuneful with 710k (3.8%) from 10pm.

Gok's Clothes Roadshow styled 1.76m (7.7%) on Channel 4 from 8pm and 194k (0.8%) on +1. Mary Queen of Frocks averaged 1.97m (8.4%) in the 9pm hour, and 230k (1.4%) an hour later. The penultimate Shameless of the current series had 1.25m (7.6%) from 10pm and 141k (1.7%) on timeshift.

Real Food Family Cook Off served up 257k (1.2%) on Channel 5 from 7.30pm. Superior Interiors with Kelly Hoppen drew in 693k (3%) in the 8pm slot, before CSI: Miami investigated 1.73m (7.3%) from 9pm. Big Brother entertained 1.29m (7.7%) in the 10pm hour.

Overall, BBC One dominated primetime with 23.6%, ahead of ITV1's modest 12.2% (+1: 0.5%). Channel 4 edged third with 6.9% (+1: 0.9%), ahead of BBC Two's 6.6% and Channel 5's 4.6%.

Elsewhere, Don't Tell The Bride averaged 587k (2.6%) for BBC Three in the 9pm hour, and Up For Hire Live employed 188k (0.8%) from 10pm. Made in Chelsea continued on E4 with 203k (0.9%) and 106k (0.4%) on +1.
