A 16-year-old boy has died in Warwickshire despite attempts by paramedics to save him.

Emergency services were called to an address in Claremont road, Rugby, on Friday morning where the boy, who has not been named, was found.

He was taken to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire but was later declared dead.

A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being questioned.

Man bailed over 16-year-old's death

A man who was arrested in connection with the death of a 16-year-old boy from Warwickshire has been released on police bail.

The teenager was taken to hospital by ambulance from an address in Claremont Road, Rugby, at about 10:30 BST on Friday, but was later declared dead.

A 47-year-old man was arrested on Friday and released on Saturday.

The boy's death was "unexplained" and a post-mortem examination would be held in the next few days, police said.
