Two Coventry florists have won first place in a national competition for their colourful floral displays.
Charlotte Baker, 21, of Styvechale (pictured) and Vicky Rymell, 25, from Bedworth, put together a display with a Moroccan theme for the birthday shop window contest at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Tatton Park Flower Show in Cheshire.
The pair, who work at Hubbards Florist in Holbrook Lane, created a birthday hat and table design as they competed against eight other UK florists.
Charlotte, from Fenside Avenue, Styvechale, said: “It was brilliant to win. We chose the theme because we like all the colours and we only had a few months to prepare.”
