Edna Agbarha became the seventh Apprentice candidate to be fired tonight after failing to impress Lord Sugar in a challenge to make money out of rubbish.

Zoe Beresford's Team Venture made a healthy profit of £706, but were forced to return to the boardroom after losing out to Team Logic by only £6.

Beresford quickly ran into trouble in the boardroom after claiming that it was Glenn Ward who secured her team's plumbing deals, much to the annoyance of Agbarha and Susan Ma.

All three females returned for the final showdown with Lord Sugar and Beresford came under fire for losing control of her emotions and her team.

"You lost it, by your own admission you lost it, and I'm pleased that you admitted that you lost it... but there's a limit to how long I'm going to put up with someone telling me, 'I got this wrong, I got that wrong'," warned Sugar.

However, ultimately Sugar didn't see himself investing money in a company alongside business psychologist Agbarha, arguing that her actions didn't match her talk.

"You are highly qualified at what you do, but I think what I've seen here in the last couple of weeks, and in particular today, is that you are someone that wants to take the credit for a lot of things and it just doesn't stack up," said Sugar.

"Edna, I just don't think you and I are going to gel in business. I wish you well, but Edna; you're fired!"

Speaking in the black cab home, the Londoner said: "I have three degrees, one BSc and two Masters. I have also had successful businesses too, so I'm sure I'll be successful in whatever I do."

The Apprentice continues next week at 9pm on BBC One.
