Can't believe that programme was from the 60's - makes me feel old.

Top Cat was of course based on The Phil Silvers Show with Stang doing an impersonation of Sergeant Bilko and the rest of the cast recreating other characters from the show.

It was always billed as "Boss Cat" by the BBC so as not to advertsise a certain brand of cat food widely available in the UK at the time.
