Brothers 28-year old Ryan Ward from Binley Woods and 26-year old Jamie Ward from Stoke, along with uncle David Ward from Tile Hill, burst into a house on Grant Road in Stoke last March and attacked the man inside.

The 32-year old ended up with a number of stab wounds and broken bones.

It was part of a feud that began at a party, where all four and another man took part in a fight.

All three men admitted wounding and have each been jailed for 2 years, but police are still trying to find a fourth relative, Ryan and Jamie’s dad, Paul Ward.

Still wanted: Paul Ward

Detective Sergeant Dave Bailey from Coventry Police Force CID, said

“This was a very serious attack and we were determined to progress the investigation with or without the full co-operation of the victim.

“These sentences send out a message to anyone who thinks they can use violence and intimidation in an attempt to escape punishment: such tactics will not work and will not be tolerated by police.

“Police and the CPS will seek to prosecute offenders at every opportunity, without co-operation from victims or witnesses if necessary, if it’s in the best interests of wider public safety.”

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of 47-year old Paul Ward can call DS Dave Bailey at Willenhall police station on 02476 539416.
