Hundreds of pounds worth of items were taken in a break-in at an RSPCA centre in Coventry.
A large number of nylon dog leads, harnesses and toys were taken from the animal centre in Coundon Wedge Drive, Allesley.
The raid happened last Monday night but details have only just been released.
Branch chairman Sue Hucks said: “How anyone can steal from a charity is beyond me.
“These louts must really be the lowest of the low.
“We are constantly struggling to raise funds to care for the unwanted, neglected and ill-treated animals of Coventry.”
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact Coventry Police on 0845 113 5000.
