Elderly tourists had their holiday ruined when a thief ransacked their Coventry hotel room.

He packed up all their belongings into their suitcase - before walking out through reception.
The couple – who are both in their 80s – left the Britannia Hotel in Fairfax Street, city centre, for a morning sightseeing trip around Shakespeare’s houses and the RSC theatre in Stratford.
But when they returned, just after 5pm, they discovered someone had cleaned out the room – taking cash, clothes, electrical items and even their toiletries.
Police believe CCTV cameras in the hotel’s reception area show the thief wheeling away the hotel room haul in the victim’s suitcase.
PC Dave Wilson, is investigating the incident.
He said: “The couple are from Plymouth and they were only staying in Coventry for two nights before their coach trip moved to another part of the Midlands.
“It was a shocking end to what had been a lovely day – it certainly ruined their trip.
“The thief took pretty much everything he could lay his hands on – including a digital camera, shaver and expensive leather jacket – and then even had the audacity to carry it away in the victims’ own suitcase.
