Keiran Laidlaw made the headline a few weeks back when he was given a CRASBO order banning him from part of Wood End for a catalogue of anti-social behaviour.

His picture was published in the media and was seen by a man who had been robbed by Laidlaw back in January.

He had been walking with his friend on Binley Road when the teenager asked them for cigarettes. When they said they hadn’t got any his lashed out and attacked them, only stopping when they offered him cash.

When they only gave him £3 he attacked one of them, while the other was held back by an associate until they found a £10 note and they ran off.

Keiran Laidlaw this week admitted two counts of robbery and was sentenced to two years in a youth offenders institute.

Neighbourhood Inspector Joanne Floyd said: “Laidlaw’s offending has finally caught up with him and this sentence will be celebrated by residents in Wood End who have been on the receiving end of his loutish behaviour.”

“It’s incredible that someone could value their own liberty so cheaply and run the risk of being locked-up for the sake of a few pounds.”

The 18-year old’s previous convictions include assaulting a police officer, fighting, and burglary.
