O’Flanagan Homes bought the former Miners public house in Alderman’s Green Road, in the city, just over a year ago and the site is quickly being transformed.

The pub, which was purchased through new homes and land specialists Shortland Horne, has been demolished and already the 10 three-bedroom, family homes are beginning to shoot up in its place.

Danny O’Flanagan, who is following in his grandfather’s and father’s footsteps in running the local business, said the company was looking to grow even though it had been a tough time for the industry.
