Screenwriter Andrew Davies to give Leamington talk

Andrew Davies will be giving a talk on Tuesday, February 8.

The Kenilworth author, who penned classic TV adaptations including Pride and Prejudice and Vanity Fair will speak at the Spa Centre Studio, in Leamington.

The talk, for the Leamington Society and Leamington Literary Society, starts at 7.45pm and the subject of Mr Davies’ talk is “The perils of adapting classics for TV”.

It will include film clips from some of his successful shows.

As well as adapting classics, Mr Davies is also known for creating television series Marmalade Adkins and House of Cards.

Everyone is welcome to the talk and tickets, available from the Spa Centre, are £10 and £8 for concessions.
