A family doctor in Bedworth sold sick notes to a patient for £10 each, a tribunal was told.
Dr Asgarali Oomatia charged for five medical certificates when he was working at a practice in Bedworth.
He was brought before a disciplinary hearing for refusing to visit four patients at home – including one who was terminally ill.
He also admitted wrongly prescribing a woman a week’s worth of antibiotics through his receptionist rather than visit her
Yet Dr Oomatia – who used to practise at the Leicester Road Surgery in Bedworth – was not struck off and will be allowed to carry on working.
