A market with a difference is heading to Nuneaton town centre next month. The first Teenage Market will ne staged on Sunday, March 22.

The Nuneaton Teenage Market will see young people set up stall to not only sell goods but to also gain confidence, business know-how and real-world experience.

Organisers say that there has already been a 'strong, positive response from local young people' but there is still chance for others to sign up to take part in the market.

The markets are hosted by All Communities Matter CIC, as part of their popular Indie Market series. There have been similar events in neighbouring North Warwickshire, but the event on March 22 will be a first for Nuneaton.

The event has been backed by Warwickshire County Council as well as Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and the Nuneaton BID (Business Improvement District) and could lead to more being staged across the county.

Joe Barratt, Executive Director of Place For Youth CIC, said: "We’re incredibly proud to be working in partnership with Warwickshire County Council to roll-out Teenage Market events across the county.

"This collaboration reflects everything that Place For Youth stands for - putting young people at the heart of their communities by creating accessible, affordable opportunities for them to develop new skills, build confidence and fulfil their creative potential."

The Nuneaton Teenage Market will run from 10am until 4pm in the Market Place. For more information or to apply to trade on the market, visit the website here
