Strictly Come Dancing has revealed its 2025 semi-finalists, after the ninth celebrity was eliminated from the competition during Musicals Week. In tonight's results show, Emmerdale's Lewis Cope and pro Katya Jones found themselves in the bottom two for the very first time, alongside Love Island's Amber Davies and pro Nikita Kuzmin.

Both couples were forced to take part in the dreaded dance-off before the judges decided who they wanted to save.

First, Amber and Nikita performed their Charleston to 'Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat' from Guys and Dolls, before Lewis and Katya performed their Salsa to 'Dance at the Gym' from West Side Story.

Ultimately, judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood made the unanimous decision to save Amber and Nikita, meaning Lewis and Katya just missed out on a place in the semi-finals.

Though judge Motsi Mabuse didn't need to use her casting vote this week, she revealed she would've also chosen to save Amber and Nikita.

Following his elimination Lewis described the experience as "more than I could have ever wished for" and praised the show for providing "a space where people can be themselves, grow, learn, express themselves."

"It's been incredible and a memory that I'll have for the rest of my life, and [to Katya] I think it's all down to you. You've literally given me absolutely everything I could wish for as a friend, as a teacher, and yeah, I couldn't imagine it with anybody else. So, thank you very much," he said.

The star reflected on the support he's received while taking part in the competition, and shared that the show has "brought my family, four generations, together every Saturday night".

He added: "You know, young boys who thought that dancing wasn't accessible for them or whatever. They started dancing now and have sent us videos. And you know, if you can change one person's life like that, then that's enough."

Meanwhile, Katya told Lewis that he will "be remembered as one of, if not, the best male celebrity we've ever had on the show."

"But also you will be remembered for being an incredible person you are. Kind and genuine people still exist - what a gentleman you are, so humble and so kind," she said.

Next Saturday's (13 December) semi-final will see the four remaining couples return to the dancefloor with two new routines, before your 2025 finalists are revealed on Sunday night (14 December).
