Weather affects bus and bin services

Bus services and bin collections in a Warwickshire town have been affected by the wintry weather.



There was no Stagecoach bus service around Stratford-upon-Avon and all district council bin and recycling collections in the town were suspended.

Persistent and occasionally heavy snow across the north of the Coventry and Warwickshire area was predicted.

Warwickshire County Council said main roads would be gritted regardless of how much snow falls.

Councillor Alan Cockburn, who is in charge of gritting at the authority, said: "Normally we'd be going out at midnight and at 4 o'clock in the morning.

"But of course you've got to be very flexible and just keep an eye on that forecast."
