Items were swiped from the new Morrisons in Mount Nod
Thieves targeted a new Coventry Morrisons just days after it opened. Items were swiped from outside the building in the early hours of yesterday morning (September 30).
Magazines were delivered to the recently opened Morrisons Daily on Alderminster Road in Mount Nod at around 5.45am. Two men were captured on CCTV arriving in a Toyota Aygo.
Both are believed to have stolen a number of magazines from the boxes before quickly fleeing. Manager Sai Ram issued a CCTV image of two people who may have information about what happened.
Mr Ram said: “After our delivery driver left two boxes of magazines in front of our shop, two individuals arrived in a Toyota Aygo car and stole several magazines. We sincerely apologise to our customers for the inconvenience caused due to missing magazines.”
He added: “If anyone recognises these individuals shown in the CCTV images, please message us directly. Your help will be greatly appreciated so we can take proper action.”
The Mount Nod Morrisons had previously been home to a One Stop. It was fully refurbished and reopened last Thursday (September 25).
