Coventry power cut affects 1,225 E.On customers

A power cut has affected more than 1,200 customers in the Coventry area, energy supplier E.On said.

The company said it was investigating a fault in the Dilotford Avenue and Cheylesmore area of the city.

The incident began at about 1800 GMT and up to 1,000 customers had had their power restored after an hour.

Train services at Coventry Railway Station were affected for a brief period, but most trains had resumed normal service by 1900 GMT.

Errr... all electricity comes from the same company. The only difference is who you are billed by.

Several sources have told me that half the city was blacked-out last night but neither the Telegraph nor BBC have reported this :?
