Contracts over Warwickshire Ocado centre plans

Online grocer Ocado has paid £17.7m to acquire land for a distribution centre in Warwickshire, its second nationally.

The base at the Birch Coppice Business Park is on a is expected to create 2,000 jobs.

The company - floated on the stock market in July - delivers food for Waitrose and other suppliers and hopes to start operations by the end of 2012.

Tim Steiner, chief executive of Ocado, said he was delighted to have secured such an "outstanding site".

To create 2000 jobs is fantastic news for the area. :thumbsup:
