They have only been open a few years

Job Centres in Coventry and Nuneaton will be closed as the Department of Work and Pensions axes 36 across the country. The centres in Arena Park and also the Ropewalk Shopping Centre are on a list of those set to shut their doors.

They will close in a matter of months, according to the Mirror, as the DWP says that they were only ever meant to be temporary following the pandemic. The Nuneaton site was set up in the former H&M store in 2021.

Over in Coventry, the job centre is based within the main Tesco site. Despite the closures, both Coventry and Nuneaton will still have Job Centres. The main site in Coventry is in Cofa Court, Cheylesmore, while the main Nuneaton branch is in Mill House, Mill Walk, behind the Town Hall.

Explaining the decision to close the temporary sites, DWP spokesperson told the Mirror: "We no longer need the temporary space we acquired during the pandemic to accommodate social distancing. To continue providing our essential employment support and other services in a way that is cost-efficient for the taxpayer, we are phasing out these temporarily leased sites.

"Customers will return to being served by their established Jobcentre and there will be no reduction in the number of Work Coaches serving customers as a result."

The original Telegraph headline (which I've changed) made it sound as if there would no longer be ANY job centre left in Coventry and Nuneaton.

They are heavily into 'clickbait' Dutchman. I rarely bother to use the site these days.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
