The resident was far from impressed at the 'inconsiderate' parking from her neighbours
A Coventry resident was left furious after drivers parked their cars along a pavement in her neighbourhood daily. Lindsay Harriman said she and her family are forced to walk on the road as vehicles repeatedly obstruct the footpath Ashdown Close in Binley.
She also noticed that neighbours with pushchairs are unable get past the vehicles and are forced to walk on the road to get around the cars - putting a danger to their infants and newborns. Lindsay has repeatedly asked the owners of the vehicles to park their cars appropriately, but said her pleas fell on deaf ears.
She told CoventryLive: "Can you imagine trying to have a reasonable conversation with people who park in such a manner? I personally try to ignore the fact that such imbeciles exist anywhere, let alone in close proximity to me.
"But they are certainly an irritant to me and my neighbours on far too often a basis, and with multiple cars," Lindsay said, adding there are often multiple cars parked along the pavement, and nearby residents are growing frustrated with their parking habits.
She added: "They appear to have the use of at least two vehicles but sometimes more visit the address. It has been pointed out that pushchairs cannot get past their cars, but then it should be blatantly obvious that the footpath is obstructed."
This is not the first time pavement parking has angered residents around Coventry. One local has expressed her frustration in a Facebook post, sharing a photo of car on a residential pavement. Facebook users lashed out at the driver's 'selfish' behaviour, with many disapproving of his actions.
