The future of a troubled Bedworth pub has been confirmed - and it will re-open under new ownership. CoventryLive spotted a sign at the front of the Mount Pleasant pub in Leicester Street.

On it, it explains that the pub is currently closed. But this is for a refurbishment to take place.

It states that the pub will re-open again on Wednesday, June 8.

Not only will it re-open with a new look, but also new owners. There is also an appeal for new staff to work at the pub.

Once re-opened, it will herald a new era for the pub. Back in February, Warwickshire Trading Standards asked Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council to review the licence due to 'serious concerns'.

The application talked of "serious concerns that the premises have poor and ineffective management controls which have adverse effect on the following licensing objectives: The prevention of crime and disorder and the protection of children from harm".

But now new management has taken over.
