Given BoJo's previous record of upholding so-called 'vows', I wouldn't worry too much if I was Putin!

Bozo may plan on starving Russia, but his first duty is to his own people and not allowing them to freeze and starve due to his ill thought through policies. Trying to be the 'big I am' and being a mouthpiece for the world is not his greatest achievement, and we, the people, will pay the very heavy price for him meddling in things that have little to do with us.

It could be worse. If Britain was still in the EU it would now be suffering from the same shortages that EU countries are suffering as a result of economic sanctions against Russia.
