Bricks, tiles, wood and rubbish has been left littered along the road
Half a mile of fly-tipping has forced the closure of main route from Bulkington to Coventry.
The mess is so bad that police have had no choice but to close off Coventry Road.
It remains closed off this morning (November 9) after almost 11 hours.
Residents have reported on social media that police were called just before midnight last night about the mess.
They have said that everything from hard core to bricks, tiles, wood and rubbish has been left strewn along at least half a mile of the busy route.
CoventryLive has contacted Warwickshire County Council, which is responsible for highways, about the clean-up operation which will be needed for the road to be opened again.
At the time of publication, no comment had been provided.
It is not just Coventry Road that has been hit by fly-tippers.
CoventryLive understands that Top Road in nearby Barnacle was closed all day on Saturday (November 6) and part of Sunday (November 7) because of a load of building waste, including roof tiles and concrete, was dumped across the stretch of road.
