I think the Pharma industry has had it good for a very long time. I know they invest lots in research and development but they do seem to make very good profits.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

This is not a new marketing tactic, it is quite common. The MVC chain did exactly the same thing with music and video. MVC was owned by the same group as SuperDrug. MVC eventually went bust.
