The delivery van was photographed half on the pavement and across zig-zag lines by another motorist
Another of the images shows the driver standing at the counter inside the Alfie Grimshaw takeaway with a plastic bag containing a takeaway box.
Alan told CoventryLive that the driver had been inside for about two minutes, not long enough to have been carrying out a delivery, before returning to the van.
He said: “We left so we don’t know how long after it was before he drove off.
“Even if he was delivering within the two minutes he should of parked more appropriately.
"It’s irresponsible driving and he should be reprimanded.”
In a response on Twitter the supermarket’s service team asked for the date, time and area to look into the matter.
In a job description for delivery drivers, ASDA says: “When you're on the road, you'll need to be organised and because you'll be representing ASDA, we'll expect you to be an excellent ambassador for the brand.”
CoventryLive has contacted ASDA’s press office for comment.
