Over 60 parcels have been reported 'undelivered', residents say
Residents in a Warwickshire village are furious after dozens of their Evri parcels went missing. Locals in the village of Fillongley are facing mass delays with their Evri packages with many waiting for weeks on end.
One resident said she has been waiting almost a month for her package to arrive. The resident, who doesn't wish to be named, said she is "frustrated" at the delays.
Residents reported around 60 parcels that have still yet to be delivered. Some have even had to "replace" their items after not receiving them on time, costing them more money.
One told CoventryLive: "It's been three to four weeks since I've received my parcel. There are about 60 residents that are all waiting.
"It's really frustrating as we pay for the service. Some people are having to replace their goods and it's just not right."
Residents have aired their concerns on Facebook, with many still waiting for their parcels. One concerned local asked: "Does anyone work for Evri and know why parcels are not being deliver to Fillongley?" Other residents also reported their packages missing and worry they won't receive their gifts in time for Christmas.
One said: "Anyone had any updates from Evri? I got two parcels that was meant to of (sic) been delivered last week but stuck at Evri with no updates. Are we likely to get these before Xmas as they are Xmas presents. I phoned the companies I placed the orders with but they cant really do anything apart from refund and re order but will be in same situation."
Another resident added: "Had the same issue, multiple parcels disappearing as a result of 'a major event' or a 'traffic incident'. Tried to get in touch with Evri but gave up as it's too difficult..."
Meanwhile, one said: "I’m waiting on three parcels from that haven’t been delivered since November 15. One company has sent a replacement but that hasn’t arrived either. I’m sympathetic to them being overwhelmed with Royal Mail strikes but the ‘black hole’ everything has disappeared into & not being able to contact anyone to anyone at Evri is totally unacceptable."
Some residents said their parcels have simply "disappeared". One resident commented: "I have one parcel that 'disappeared' and its replacement was due between 16:30-17:30 yesterday - but nothing appeared."
