Yet more fudging on COVID data

I picked up on this earlier...

... it (ONS) has revised down its daily data for coronavirus incidence per 10k from an original estimate of 9.52 on 17 Oct to 4.89 for that date...

Having worked with the ONS I'm not exactly surprised. That data was likely instrumental in causing the second lockdown.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
