Jungle Book sees off competition from The Huntsman

The Jungle Book has remained on top of the US box office after taking $60.8m in its second week.

The Jon Favreau-directed film saw off competition from The Huntsman: Winter’s War, which is new at 2 with $20.8m.

Meanwhile, Barbershop: The Next Cut is at three with $10.8m and animation Zootopia is at four with $6.6m.

Melissa McCarthy’s comedy The Boss is at five with $6m, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice moves down to six with $5.5m.

Elsewhere, Criminal is at seven with $3m, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 is at eight with £2.1m and Compadres is new with $1.3m.

Finally, new entry A Hologram for the King rounds out the top ten with $1.1m.​
