Kung Fu Panda 3 retains US box office lead

Kung Fu Panda 3 has retained the top spot in this week’s US box office chart.

The comedy sequel took $21m in its second week to see off competition from the Coen brothers’ Hail, Ceasar!, which arrives at number two with £11.4m.

Elsewhere, The Revenant is at three with £7.1m and Star Wars: The Force Awakens is at 4 with £6.9m.

The Choice is new at 5 with $6m, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies lands at 6 with $5.2m and The Finest Hours is at 7 with $4.7m.

Ride Along 2 is at 8 with $4.5m and The Boy is at 9 with $4.09m.

Finally, Robert De Niro’s Dirty Grandpa rounds out the top ten with $4.05m.
