Bradley Cooper’s ‘Burnt’ flops at the US box office

Bradley Cooper’s chef drama Burnt failed to cook up a storm at the US box office this weekend.

The film only managed a disappointing $5m in its opening week, while The Martian stays strong at the top with $11.4m.

Elsewhere, Goosebumps is in second place behind Ridley Scott’s sci-fi thriller, having taken $10.2m in its second week.

Cold War drama Bridge of Spies is in third place with $8m, while Hotel Transylvania 2 is fourth with $5.8m.

Burnt rounds out the top five. Vin Diesel’s The Last Witch Hunter and Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension are in sixth and seventh place respectively.

New entry Our Brand is Crisis is at eight with $3.4m, Tom Hiddleston’s Crimson Peak is at nine with $3.1m and Steve Jobs is at ten with $2.5m.
