Jurassic World still a monster hit at the US box office

Jurassic World is still a monster hit at the box office, retaining the number one spot in its second week.

The sequel took $102m to remain top, taking its total US earnings to $398m.

Missing out on number one, Pixar’s Inside Out – starring Amy Poehler – arrives at two with $91m.

Elsewhere, Melissa McCarthy’s Spy is at three with $10.5m, San Andreas is at four with $8.2m and Dope is new at five with $6m.

Horror sequel Insidious Chapter 3 is at six with $4.1m, while Pitch Perfect 2 is at seven with $3.3m.

Meanwhile, Tom Hardy’s Mad Max: Fury Road is at eight with $2.8m, while Avengers: Age of Ultron is at nine with $2.7m.

Finally, Tomorrowland rounds out the top ten with $2m.
