‘Furious 7’ tops US box office for a second weekend

Furious 7 has retained the US box office in its second weekend.

The action thriller starring Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker has now taken over $252m after claiming $60.5m this week.

The film became the fourth highest opener of all time last weekend.

Home stays at two with $19m, while new entry The Longest Ride is at three with $13.5.

Will Ferrell’s comedy Get Hard is at four with $8.6m, Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella is down five with $7.2m and The Divergent Series: Insurgent is at six with $6.8m.

Ryan Reynolds’s Woman in Gold stays at seven with $5.8m and horror It Follows is down to eight with $2m.

Danny Collins is up from seventeenth to nine with $1.6m and While We’re Young rounds out the top ten with $1.3m.
