Kiefer Sutherland’s ‘Touch’ renewed by Fox

Touch is believed to have been renewed for a second season.

The Kiefer Sutherland drama, which has enjoyed a recent ratings revival in the US, has been recommissioned by broadcaster Fox, reports Deadline.

The publication also reports that the chances of renewals for both Alcatraz and Bones spinoff The Finder have declined.

Touch stars Sutherland as Martin Bohm, a former journalist who is trying to figure out messages that his mute son Jake (David Mazouz) is passing on using numbers.

Created by Tim Kring, the show also stars Danny Glover and former Doctor Who actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

Fox has also reportedly ordered two new dramas – including Kevin Williamson’s serial killer drama starring Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy – today.

The network is also thought to have placed orders for three comedies ahead of next week’s upfront presentations to advertisers, where programming slates for the new season will be officially confirmed.

Touch airs on Thursdays at 9pm on Fox. The show continues on Sky 1 in the UK.
