20th Century Fox has announced plans to reshuffle their 2011 film lineup, starting with the upcoming prequel Rise Of The Apes.
The Planet Of The Apes continuation was originally scheduled for release on June 24, but will instead be released on November 23 during Thanksgiving week.
According to Coming Soon, the company has also pushed back the Chris Evans comedy What’s Your Number? from its original date in April, to September 30.
Justin Timberlake’s science fiction film Now has subsequently been moved to October 28.
Among other films to receive changes to their release dates are Mr. Popper’s Penguins, The Sitter and Monte Carlo.
The moves follow Fox’s announcement this week that Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel had evolved into a new project called Prometheus, which will be released on March 9, 2012.
