
The Coen brothers’ latest film True Grit managed to climb to the top of the US box office, in what was a relatively quiet weekend for the film industry.
True Grit took $15 million, beating out Little Fockers, which took only $13.8 million, resulting in the two films trading places this week.
Nicholas Cage’s latest film Season Of The Witch was the highest new entry, taking only $10.7 million for its opening weekend.
Tron: Legacy falls to fourth this week, taking $9.8 million, followed by Natalie Portman’s sleeper hit Black Swan which took $8.4 million.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s Country Strong took a modest $7.3 million for its nationwide release.
