
Filmmaker Blake Edwards has died at the age of 88.
The writer-director passed away on Thursday morning with wife Julie Andrews and his children at his bedside, reports Variety.
Edwards was best known for the success of his Pink Panther film series starring Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau.
His other classic films include Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Days of Wine and Roses and the 1979 box office hit 10, starring Dudley Moore, Andrews and Bo Derek.
Edwards received an Academy Honorary Award in 2004 in recognition of his work as a writer, producer and director.
