Andrea Parker has signed up to appear in Pretty Little Liars.



TV Line reports that the actress has landed a recurring role in the drama, although the number of episodes she will appear in is not yet clear.

She will star as Jessica DiLaurentis, Alison's mother, who returns to Rosewood to help out with a fashion show being held in Alison's honour.

She appears keen to reconnect with Alison's former friends but may have hidden motives.

Parker previously worked on shows including ER, The Pretender and Less Than Perfect and has guest starred in The Mentalist, My Name Is Earl and CSI: Miami.

The second season of Pretty Little Liars, which will premiere on ABC Family on June 14, will also star Annabeth Gish.
