NBC has officially made its final cancellation decisions of the 2018-19 season

Announced this afternoon, the network has canceled the freshman comedy, “Abby’s,” along with freshman dramas, “The Village” and “The Enemy Within.” The news comes almost a week after NBC also canceled the Glenn Howerton-led sophomore comedy, “A.P. Bio.”

NBC held off on deciding these shows’ fates earlier this month, but none of the cancellations today are surprises, as all three were low ratings performers for the network throughout their first seasons.

“Abby’s” averaged just a 0.4 live + same day rating among adults 18-49 this season, tying it with “Midnight, Texas” (also canceled) as NBC’s lowest-rated series. “The Village” and “The Enemy Within” both performed a little better with matching 0.7 averages, but neither quite did well enough to earn a second season.

The trio of rookies now join the previously-canceled “I Feel Bad,” “Midnight, Texas,” and “A.P. Bio.,” as NBC says goodbye to 6 scripted titles this season.

Meanwhile, the network has renewed 13 of its other scripted titles for the 2019-20 season, including “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” “The Good Place,” “Manifest,” “Good Girls,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” and more. “This is Us” was also given a massive 3-season renewal, guaranteeing that it’ll be sticking around for at least six seasons.
