Another low for the League

The Justice League has taken another tumble at the Box Office this weekend, as it was knocked off the top spot by Disney Pixar animation.

Coco – which follows aspiring musician Miguel who enters the Land of the Dead to work out why his family banned music – took $49 million over the Thanksgiving weekend, leaving the Justice League to follow in second place with $40.1 million.

In at third was the Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacob Tremblay tear-jerker Wonder – which took $22.3 million – and fourth place went to Thor: Ragnarok with $16.8 million.

Rounding off the top five is Daddy's Home 2, all according to BoxOfficeMojo.

The sequel comedy took $13.5 million this weekend, and was followed closely by Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express with $13 million.

In at seventh place is Sony's new entry The Star, another animated feature which follows a small but brave donkey (voiced by former The Walking Dead star Steven Yeun) and his animal friends as they become the unsung heroes of the first Christmas.

The movie took $6.875 million – which ain't half bad for a movie about a talking donkey (although fans of Shrek may disagree).

Taking the eighth spot is A Bad Moms Christmas ($5 million) while Roman J. Israel, Esq. ($4.515 million) and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri ($4.4 million) round off the top ten.

Check out the Nov. 24-26 figures below:

1. Coco — $49 million ($71.2 million five-day)
2. Justice League — $40.7 million ($63 million five-day)
3. Wonder — $22.3 million ($32.3 million five-day)
