ABC is effectively closing the curtain on its drama series “Still Star-Crossed”

The network is moving the show to Saturday nights, which very likely is a precursor to canceling the show outright. The schedule change comes after three episodes of “Still Star-Crossed” airing on Mondays following “The Bachelorette.”

Through those three airings, the series has averaged just a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49 1.96 million viewers. Delayed viewing hasn’t been very strong either: The first two episodes rose just a tenth of a point each after a week of DVR and on-demand playback.

“Still Star-Crossed” is retaining only 25 percent of “The Bachelorette’s” 18-49 rating and just a third of its lead-in’s total audience.

In comparison, the final season of “Mistresses” averaged a 0.6 in adults 18-49 in the post-“Bachelorette”/”Bachelor in Paradise” timeslot last season.

Contract options on the cast are also up at the end of June. Without an extension of those options, the actors are free to seek other work.

“Still Star-Crossed” will join ABC’s Saturday lineup on July 8. A rerun of “Celebrity Family Feud” will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT Monday, June 26, and an encore of the “Battle of the Network Stars” premiere” will fill the spot on July 3.

“Still Star-Crossed” comes from Shondaland and creator Heather Lind. It’s based on a book by Melinda Taub and follows members of the Montague and Capulet families after the events of “Romeo and Juliet.”

The cast includes Lashana Lynch, Wade Briggs, Grant Bowler, Torrance Coombs, Ebonée Noel, Zuleikha Robinson, Dan Hildebrand, Sterling Sulieman and Anthony Stewart Head.
