Smallville's ninth season finale pulled in 2.45m for The CW on Friday night, overnight data suggests.Overall, the sci-fi series averaged 2.35m across the season in its new Friday night slot, down over 1m on the previous season, which aired on Thursdays.
Elsewhere at 8pm, Ghost Whisperer appealed to a slot-winning 6.43m for CBS, while Wife Swap logged 4.32m for ABC and NBC's Friday Night Lights delivered a solid 3.97m.
In the 9pm hour, Medium led for CBS with 6.22m, however the audience was down around 900k week-on-week. Primetime held up for ABC with 6.03m.
At 10pm, ABC's 20/20 beat NBC's Dateline for the first time this year, with 6.64m versus 5.65m. On CBS, Miami Medical fell to 5.93m.
Elsewhere, Fox's Friday lineup began with a rerun of House, which interested 3.06m. The audience then grew to 3.61m for a new episode of Kitchen Nightmares.
