Blindspot and The Voice soar with season premieres on Monday

NBC's power combo of The Voice and Blindspot won the key 18-49 demographic with 3.3 on Monday (September 21), according to Nielsen figures.

The Voice's season premiere hit 3.5 (12.37m) at 8pm on NBC, before Blindspot soared to 3.1 (10.61m) at 10pm.

The Big Bang Theory was down nearly a full ratings point to 4.7 (18.20m) at 8pm on CBS, before Life in Pieces opened with 2.6 (11.28m) at 8.30pm.

The return of Scorpion on CBS at 9pm earned 2.2 (11.09m), before NCIS: Los Angeles's premiere fell to a low of 1.2 (7.89m) at 10pm.

Dancing with the Stars' first elimination was seen by 1.8 (11.46m) at 8pm on ABC. At 10pm, Castle's opener fell a full ratings point from last year with 1.2 (6.84m).

Gotham also tumbled to 1.6 (4.57m) at 8pm on Fox, down from last year's 3.3. At 9pm, Minority Report scored a disappointing debut with 1.1 (3.10m).

Penn & Teller: Fool Us reached 0.3 (1.15m) at 8pm on The CW, and Significant Mother interested 0.1 (0.47m) at 9.30pm.
