Alex Kendrick's War Room has knocked Straight Outta Compton off the top spot in the US box office, taking $9.3m.
The NWA biopic dropped to number two with $8.8m after spending two weeks at number one.
Elsewhere, the Bill Bryson biopic A Walk in the Woods debuts at number three taking $8.4m and Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation drops one place to number four with $7.15m.
The Transporter Refueled opens at number five, taking $7.13m with No Escape dropping two places to number six.
Number seven is taken by Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E. with $3.5m, new release Un Gallo con Muchos Huevos is at number eight with $3.4m and thriller sequel Sinister 2 drops four taking $3.3m.
Rounding off this week's top 10 is Disney's emotional rollercoaster Inside Out, which climbs up from number 19, taking $3.1m.
