Ride Along holds US box office top spot

Kevin Hart and Ice Cube's Ride Along has landed at the top spot at the US box office for the second weekend in a row.

The comedy added $21.1m to its total gross of $75.4m. It debuted last weekend with $41.2m.

Ride Along beat new release I, Frankenstein, which debuted in sixth place with $8.2m.

Last weekend, Ride Along also beat three new releases - Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, The Nut Job and Devil's Due.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, starring Chris Pine, Keira Knightley and Kevin Costner, slipped from fourth place to fifth this week with $8.8m.

Animated feature Nut Job remained in third place with $12.3, while horror movie Devil's Due fell from seventh to tenth with $2.7m.

Lone Survivor, which debuted at number one earlier this month, also kept its second spot this weekend with $12.6m.

Disney's animated film Frozen continues to stay strong in the top ten list, climbing from fifth place to fourth with $9m. Its total earnings are now $346.8m.

Oscar contenders American Hustle, August: Osage County and The Wall of Wall Street round out the top ten.
