The show has two episodes of its first season left to run, but NBC will post the final two editions online instead of airing them on their originally scheduled dates, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Its two time slots on September 8 and 15 will be filled by encores of America's Got Talent and The Voice.

Saving Hope features Michael Shanks as a surgeon named Charlie Harris, who ends up in a coma following a car crash on his way to his wedding, but still wanders around the hospital in spirit form.

Durance plays his fiancée, who is also a surgeon.

Shanks posted on his Twitter: "Wow NBC......way to cheat 3 million people out of a resolution to the story #Disappointed#HardlySurprised."

Saving Hope debuted on NBC and Canada's CTV channel in June.
